GAME MASTER – (TAKAPUNA)
Fun, engaging and vibrant customer-facing staff wanted!
Game Master Duties:
- Provide briefing to customer teams before the experience
- Act as a “forensic expert” to monitor and assist customers to search for clues and solve puzzles during the experience as required
- Provide refreshments, photograph opportunities and general advice / feedback after the experience
- Resolve any customer issues
- Answer emails / phone queries and enter bookings into the system
- Assist with promotions, leaflets and other marketing as required

Successful applicant features:
- Enthusiastic, engaging and keen to provide customers with a great experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Able to adapt well to difficult situations / customers and resolve issues in an empathetic and professional manner
- Fluent spoken and written English. Ability to speak other languages a bonus
- Have good attention to detail, self-directed and a good team player
- Good computer skills (booking systems, websites, Facebook etc.)
- Available to work weeknights, weekends and ideally some weekday shifts and have flexibility in working hours (e.g. variable hours dependent on bookings)
- A current Managers Certificate (for sale of alcohol) a bonus
The ideal candidate should have previous front facing customer service experience and be comfortable working sole charge.
What’s On Offer:
- Rostered hours each week with shifts up to 8 hours between 9:30am – 10:30pm 7 days a week

PUZZLE TECHNICIAN – (TAKAPUNA)
We are an Escape Room business based in Takapuna in Auckland and we have been operating for 2.5 years.
We are looking for a person with with skills in the design and maintenance of escape room puzzles that involve technology and electronics.
The specific skills and experience we are looking for are:
– experience with Arduino programming, circuit boards and other components
– experience with the construction of low voltage wiring circuits
– experience with reed switches, RFID tags and readers, magnetic locks etc
– ability to create puzzles from scratch based on design ideas provided by the owner
The ideal candidate will:
– be passionate about designing low voltage electrical systems and gadgets as a hobby or job
– enjoy playing escape rooms
– have excellent problem solving skills, strong attention to detail and a great work ethic
– provide a consistently high standard of work
– be flexible to work at short notice to help with maintenance if required
– be flexible to work most days if required urgently (either during or outside normal working hours)
– ideally have their own tools needed to perform this role
– be keen to work as part of a team to get great new puzzles designed for our customers
Hours will vary, there will be more work when new games are being designed and much less when only maintenance of existing games is required.
